Narrative
Born a Donald White to unidentified 19yr old in good health and she had a 11 grade education. He was 8lbs. 3oz. Was baptized by a Rev henry Wind July 15, 1923. The mother of the women who gave birth was 39 and the fater was 41. The mother gave up the child on August 4, 1923 and he then lived with Joeseph Earnet Shufelt Sept 1, 1923 in North Carolina. Carrie Hutton did not accept this child. The adoption was final December 27, 1923. A Rev. Henry Wind was in charge of the adoption agency.
Joined the Army on January 131, 1943 and went to Camp Groff South Carolina. Was with the 389th air artilliary in the Pacific until sometime 1946 where he got an honoralbe discharge from Fort Bragg. In 1946 got married to Mary Shufelt. Edwin Shufelt was present. Records are supposedly at Gilford County, North Carolina.
